Justin Thomas

Justin Thomas is one of the most exciting and popular golfers on the PGA TOUR. At just 29-years old, he can lay claim to 2 Major victories, a FedEx Cup Championship, PLAYERS Championship and a PGA TOUR Player of the Year Award. Thomas is also only 1 of 6 players in PGA Tour history with 15 victories and 2 Majors before his 30th birthday, joining Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Tom Watson, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods. Justin came from 7 strokes back to start the final round at the 2022 PGA Championship which ties the largest final round comeback in PGA Championship history. He defeated Will Zalatoris in a 3-hole playoff to clinch the title for the second time.

In 2018, Justin was just the 21st player to ever reach #1 in the Official World Golf Rankings following his WGC win in Memphis. Thomas’ breakout season came in 2016-17 with five of his PGA TOUR wins, including the PGA Championship, 12 top 10 finishes and, ultimately, the FedEx Championship. At the Sony Open, Thomas became the youngest player to shoot 59 on the PGA TOUR and broke the TOUR’s 72-hole scoring record by a stroke.

In 2019, he launched the Justin Thomas Foundation, aimed to help military families, junior golf and children in need. Through such initiatives as the Justin Thomas Youth of the Year Leadership Academy with the Boys & Girls Club of Kentuckiana, USA Cares and the First Tee, Justin is committed to showing compassion, displaying kindness, and making a difference in the world.

Thomas, who was born and raised in Goshen, KY, played collegiate golf for the Alabama Crimson Tide. There he became one of the storied program’s most decorated athletes being named Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year, Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year, the Haskins Award Winner as the most outstanding player in collegiate and amateur golf, and capped his collegiate career by helping the Crimson Tide win their first National Championship in 2013.

The Foundation

With a collection of prestigious wins, including the 2017 FedExCup, 2017 PGA Championship, 2021 PLAYERS and 2022 PGA Championship, Justin Thomas is known to many as a celebrated professional on the PGA TOUR.

Justin’s family and friends also know him as a kindhearted young man who goes out of his way to give back. For years, Justin has quietly used his fame and financial wherewithal to help many. While it would be easy to quietly continue his good deeds, the time is right to establish a foundation that can partner with others to positively impact countless philanthropic organizations and communities, and deliver even more good in the world.

The Mission

The Justin Thomas Foundation positively impacts children in need, junior golf, and military families with the intent of helping all achieve their full potential.

The goals of the Justin Thomas Foundation reflect the altruistic aspirations of the Thomas family. By funding programming and fulfilling requests of those in need, they are committed to showing compassion, displaying kindness, and making a difference in the world.

Children In Need

Justin credits his success on the PGA TOUR to a childhood full of direction, support, and love. He was also the beneficiary of a grant that afforded him the opportunity to travel and pursue his junior golf career. Without such a grant, his family would not have been able to follow his passion. Justin is committed to showing benevolence and grace to children in need, with the goal of bolstering their confidence, strengthening their determination, and allowing them great possibilities.

Junior Golf

Playing golf as early as two-years-old, Justin learned all aspects of the game. More importantly, however, Justin’s time on the course – where his mother and father both worked – taught him about responsibility, passion, ethics, camaraderie, and hard work. While golf has given Justin a career he thoroughly enjoys, he knows the life lessons golf can provide. Impacting the game through junior golf programs has always been an important part of his charitable giving.

Military Families

Justin’s interest in the military was inspired by some of the men and women in uniform he has met over the years. Their experiences, time away from family, and willingness to sacrifice their lives for our freedom has truly made an impact on Justin. He is committed to having a positive effect on their lives.
